Bellow are some pictures I took during my stay in France, the first time I’d gone back since January. I had  a nice time and I got to stay for a whole week which was nice, as I usually only stay 3-4 days. Unfortunately Jenny couldn’t come with me as it wasn’t possible for her with work and job interviews all taking place at the same time. I probably spent a small fortune on phone calls as I missed her loads. She also insists she missed me, especially my cooking her dinner when she comes home from work in the evening…but also she missed my hugs and conversation it seems. Anyways, I got to see everyone. I spent a day going to Rouen and having lunch with my two grandmothers, my great aunt Jossette and cousin Clemence. It was great to spend some time with them because I don’t get to see them often and one day, I as sad as it is, I won’t have the opportunity to do so anymore. My Grandmother Monique prepared a really nice lunch, although I was stuffed like crazy… We had melon to start, then her very own special French fries (sounds simple but they are amazing!) and roasted beef, then salad, then cheese, then desert and then coffee or liquor (or both)!!! I’m feeling stuffed just writing this…I also spent a day with my sister Marie and her two kids. I’ve got to say, having two or more kids is hard work, but I enjoyed the 24hours I spent with them!!! I also saw my brother with his two kids; I got Maëva a top and Tom a t-shirt (my sisters kids also got their own) but I think they would have preferred toys…never mind! I obviously got to spend time with my parents, who appreciate having me around it seems. I spent a lot of time talking to my sister Justine as she’s in that difficult teen phase (14 years old), she loves rock and roll, talks back to my parents with words I wouldn’t dare use even now that I’m 26 and she goes a bit crazy if we reproach her something. But hey, being the big brother that she loves, she opened up to me and we had some interesting conversations, hopefully she’ll think about the advice I gave her along the week and that will help her. I got back to Madrid on the 20th of June and Jenny was glad to see me, so was I!

The last three pictures are of Khalid and his spending 3 days with us. Jenny worked the whole time but at least we got one night out the three of us, going to a Vegetarian restaurant. This way, Khalid wasn’t worried about having to translate everything in order to avoid eating pork. I had a good time with hi, we talked loads and he had his usual “mad” moments which make me hate him and love him at the same time. He did make us laugh when (ok this is maybee not funny but still) we got out of the restaurant. He’d taken some sweets on the way out and as we were walking back to the Metro, a homeless guy came up to us asking for money. Khalid extended his right hand, (I was thinking “stupid you, don’t give him money!”),  and dropped what he was holding into the hand of the homeless man. Then, the guy just handed it back to Khalid. I didn’t understand until I saw when he had handed him – a sweet!!!

Pour ceux que cela intéresse, je rentre en France du 13 au 20 juin prochain. Le lundi je passe la journée au Havre avec ma soeur pour ensuite prendre le train du Havre direction Rouen pour voir mes Grand-mères. Ça va faire du bien de revoir un peu tout le monde et plus longtemps que les 3-4 jours habituelles. De plus je vais pouvoir aller à la gym avec mon père puisqu’il est inscrit, je serais son invité. Ma soeur Justine veut jouer au basket avec moi donc au moins je vais rester actif. Le meilleur dans tout cela c’est que le copain de ma soeur Marie vient me chercher à Beauvais et mon père m’y reconduit également!!! Cela rend le voyage tellement plus simple et agréable, que de prendre un bus vers Paris, puis Metro, train et voiture de la gare d’Yvetot. Merci encore à eux!!!

Il y a deux semaines nous avons fait un dîner à la maison, avec 4 amies: Sevile, Carlos, Annabelle et son mari Gabriel. Voulant faire original, j’ai inventé (je pense) la Bruschetta party!!! J’avais préparé pleins d’ingrédients (3 heures à cuisiner), et y’avais pas mal de fromage pour que les gens fassent leurs propres Bruschetta(s), en utilisant la machine à raclette. J’avais aussi préparé des crevettes à l’ail, une tortilla espagnole, des tomates cerise fourrées à la mozzarella et aux câpres etc...apparemment cela a été un succès.

About two weeks ago we invied 4 friends over for dinner: Sevil, Carlos, Annabelle ane her husband Gabriel. I wanted to do something original so I invented a new concept (I think), the Bruschetta Party!!! I prepared loads of ingredients that people could put onto bread, topping it with cheese and sliding it into the Raclette machine (which is great for this), melting the cheese on top of warm ingredients and garlic smothered bread. It was a huge success it seems (because otherwise they were all lying convincibly)!!! I had also prepares Shrimps cooked with garlic and liquor, spanish omelette and mozzarella and capers stuffed cherry tomatoes…

Un peu en retard mais voici finallement quelques photos du Master de Madrid d’il y a quelques semaines. Nous avons vue Dinara Safina dans le premiere match et ensuite Andy Rodick dans le deuxième.Finally, some pictures from the Madrid Masters serie Jenny, I and a few friends went to a few weeks ago. First we saw Dinara Safina and then in the second match we saw Andy Rodick.

Jenny et moi avons profité de ses 4 jours de repos du 8-11 mai pour aller visiter Séville, dans le sud de l’Espagne. À l’origine nous voulions aussi passer une journée à Cordoba mais au final, il y avait vraiment trop à voir à Séville même. Nous y sommes allées en bus, le trajet étant de 6 heures et surtout de seulement 32€ aller/retour par personnes, par rapport à 120€ en train. Arrivée à l’hôtel, un 4* bien situé dans le centre de Séville avec piscine et spectacle de Flamenco tous les soirs ; nous avons eu le droit à un cocktail en arrivant. Notre chambre était très bien (ayant un peu tordu la vérité lors de la réservation) car j’avais indiqué, chose que je fais à chaque fois et qui fonctionne presque toujours, que nous étions à Séville pour fêter nos 4 ans de couple.

Notre chambre était donc au dernier étage, le cinquième, avec une vue sur une cour interne, et avec notre propre terrasse privée où nous pouvions bronzer sur des chaises longues, à l’écart des vues indiscrètes. Nous avions aussi à l’extérieur de notre chambre une autre terrasse avec une table et chaise, avec vue sur la cour interne où se déroulait les spectacles de Flamenco et à 20 mètres de là, une piscine sur le toit de l’hôtel.

Séville même est vraiment magnifique, bien plus beau esthétiquement que Madrid, dans sa totalité (car quelques quartiers de Madrid son beau aussi, mais dans sont ensemble ce n’est pas trop ca…). Nous avons vu et visité beaucoup d’église, de styles très divers. Je suis littéralement tombé amoureux de cette ville qui historiquement, est plus riche que Madrid ; c’était autrefois une des villes les plus importantes de l’Europe et fût la base des conquistadores qui rapportaient l’Or d’Amérique du Sud, ce qui explique sa richesse. S’il y avait du travail (ce qui n’est pas le cas) et qu’il ne faisait pas 40º l’été j’aimerais vraiment y vivre.

Jenny and I took advantage of her having 4 days off work, to head down to Seville, in the South of Spain. Originally we wanted to spend a day in Cordoba as well but in the end there was just too much to see in Seville itself. We went by bus, which is more or less a 6 hours journey and for only 32€ return compared with 120€ by train. We went to the hotel straight away, a 4* which was very well located in Seville, with pool and Flamenco shows every night: we got a cocktail while we were waiting to check-in. Our room was great, due to my bending the truth a little bit. I always leave a comment when making a reservation, asking if they can provide a nice quiet room as this is for our anniversary. Usually works like a charm. We had a room on the top floor, away from noise and with a private terrace which had long chairs where we could sunbathe away from curious eyes. We also had a table and chair in front of our room, on the patio which overlooked the hotels internal garden, where meals and Flamenco shows took place.

Seville itself was beautiful, I really love it. It’s just much more beautiful as a whole than Madrid could ever be. It’s so rich in history as it once was a European super power, at the time when the Spanish Conquistadores were retrieving gold from South America, bringing it back to Seville where is was stored. It eventually made the city important, rich and beautiful.

I would love to live here if there was work and if the temperature didn’t average 40º in the summer. This really is a must see for anyone able to head down to Andalucía.

En gros, je vais installer des blogs (wordpress, que j’utilise pour mon blog) pour des personnes qui veulent pouvoir avoir un blog sur leur propre serveur ou bien sur un serveur privée. Les avantages? Un seul mot: Liberté!!! Et oui, la plus part des bloggeurs utilisent Blogger.com, wordpress.com, livejournal.com ou bebeblog.com. C’est super, c’est simple – mais vous n’avez pas beaucoup de choix au niveau du style du blog. De plus, avoir votre propre adresse http:// n’est souvent pas possible. Il y a vraiment une grosse différence entre un blog gratuit et un blog installé sur un serveur. De plus, normalement pour avoir votre blog sur un serveur il faut payer, avec moi c’est gratuit (source secrete). Tout ce qu’il vous faut c’est une adresse http:// qui vous coûte en général 5€. Je peux vous avoir une adresse gratuite mais c’est moins interessant car c’est par exemple: http://juliendenoyer.net23.net. Par contre, l’installation n’est pas très simple si vous êtes débutant. Il y a tellement de gens qui ne pourraient pas le faire.J’offre donc mes services pour l’installation de wordpress sur un serveur gratuit (au lieu de 80€ par an) avec votre adresse Http:// (ou une gratuite) ainsi que d’un choix de 5 thèmes et de 5 plugins. Cela me prend 1-2 heures et vous coûte $25 (18€)…

Basically I’m going to be setting up wordpress blogs for people for a fee. You heard me right. The thing is most of you bloggers out there use websites like blogger.com, wordpress.com, livejournal.com and bebeblog.com, which are free. So why would you want to hire me to install you a wordpress blog on a private hosting account??? One word: Liverty!!!

The thing is most of the available wordpress themes for free wordpress accounts on wordpress.com are ugly, plus you can’t add plugins and widgets are nearly impossible to get right. Hosting your own wordpress blog will let you be creative, changing your layout as much as you want, putting publicity and pimping your blog with plugins!!! I can install your wordpress blog on a free hosting account, with 5 themes and 5 plugins for $25!!! You can use your own domain name or I can provide you with a free one (example:  http://juliendenoyer.net23.net).

Voici la nouvelle coupe de cheveux de Jenny...il y a plus de longueur d’un côté que l’autre et la couleur est sympa. Bon part contre, Jenny à commencé à travailler hier (plus tôt que prévus, donc pas de vacances tout de suite) et en gros, il faudrait qu’elle évite la prochaine fois de faire une couleur. Moi j’aime beaucoup!!!

Jenny just got a new haircut so I though I’d show it off a bit. I really like it!!! It’s longer on one site than the other and she got an electric sort of red colour throughout. The only thing is that her boss (she started work yesterday which is earlier than she had been told, so no holidays just yet) said that the color wasn’t really appropriate. Anyway, I like it so who cares!!!

Samedi dernier, un autre anniversaire d’un ami à nous, benjamin. Ce genre de soirée finie toujours un peu comme une fête Erasmus (sans le côté étude, enfin…)!!! Il y avait vraiment de tout, mais principalement il y avait pas de français... Je pense que je vais aussi faire une fête pour mon anniversaire en septembre, car y’avait du “cadeau”!!!
